Walk-In-Process

The Applicant may walk in to our campus, fill in the Admission Request Form/ Candidate Profile Sheet (CPS), submit photocopy of all relevant documents and meet the admission counsellor for proper guidance. After scrutiny of documents & fulfilment of admission criteria the applicant shall be informed about his/her eligibility of admission to pursue B.Tech at SIEM.

Admission Eligibility for B.Tech (1st year)

Candidate seeking admission to the B.Tech programme (4 yr degree course) at SIEM must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Must have passed H.S. (10+2) examination of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, West Bengal or equivalent.
• Must have secured minimum 45% in PCM (40% for SC/ ST/ PH candidates). Minimum 30% marks in English and individual pass marks in PCM, English and Vernacular is a must.
• Must have appeared in the Joint Entrance Examination conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEE) OR Central Board of Secondary Education (JEE Mains).

Admission Eligibility for B.Tech (2nd year lateral entry)

Candidate seeking admission to the B.Tech programme (3 yr degree course) at SIEM must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• Must have passed secondary (class 10) examination of the Council of Secondary Education, West Bengal or equivalent.
• Must have secured minimum 45% in Diploma (40% for SC/ ST/ PH candidates) or must have secured minimum 50% in B.Sc.
• Must have appeared in JELET conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board.
• Non-JELET candidates may also apply priorily for admissions.
